One Step in the Right Direction

One Step in the Right Direction…

About 30 years ago, I first went to a Chiropractor. I was 16. My oldest brother talked me into going with him. I was in good health. Ten years later I hurt my back lifting and also fell while on the job. When I went back to work after therapy, I was OK. Six years later I hurt my back again while on the job. My doctor wouldn’t let me see my Chiropractor. I finally ignored them and went to see my chiropractor. Three days after constant adjustments, I was back on my feet, and he told me my problem was L5, a degenerated disk, and that this problem must have happened a long time ago at a young age. He told me that with chiropractic care you could stay away from surgery, which at that time was only a 40 to 60 chance that the surgery would help. By this time in my life, I was told by other people to leave the tools of a mechanic, because of my back problem. My chiropractor however, said you could still do what you want to do in life. For the next ten years, my left leg and hip would bother me off and on. The chiropractor was the only relief, always in pain. I switched to another chiropractor that was closer to my home, the one my older brother was seeing. Another few years went by and both legs were starting to bother me, every other day at times. By now this chiropractor wasn’t helping anymore. I began to believe in surgery by now. My life started to change for the worse. I talked to a lot of people who had the same problem. You don’t want to hear their ugly stories. I went to my regular doctor because I developed sensations and weakness in my right leg. He told me to get a MRI. I did. The results were ugly, a diseased degenerative disc. He believed the next step was epidural shots and if it didn’t work…surgery. At that time I had no one else to turn to. Then it got worse. I threw my back out again, worse than ever. I was scared to go to the hospital for the fear that they would say surgery. This happened on a Sunday. I called my chiropractor to see if I could get in as soon as possible. Left a message. My wife tells me to see her chirpractor, Doctor Horning. That was whom I convinced her to go to ten years ago. I went to him first thing Monday morning at 7 o’clock. He took x-rays and I saw my spine. I got sick to my stomach, and was worried, but I didn’t tell him. He asked me if I was ok after seeing the x-ray. I said I was. By this time my legs ere weak, knees and feet hurt, for the past 4 years, this was always a problem that I forgot to mention. After my first adjustment there was immediate relief. By the time I left, I was already a 100% believer in Doctor Horning, and his way of chiropractic care. It was unlike any other chiropractor that I’ve been to in 30 years. Four different ones to be exact. Seven days later of constant adjustments, and I feel like a new man. No more back pain at all. No more foot and knee problems. I said to myself and my wife, that I found a chiropractor for life. She corrected me and said no, she was the one who found him. As the weeks go by I noticed other problems that I forgot about, because constant pain overrides all other problems. I now noticed I could stand straighter. My shoulders had hurt for the past 15 years. I blamed it on the work I do. But now the pain is different. After one week of spinal adjustments for my stomach problems, my stomach felt better. Days later my shoulders felt a lot better, less pain. People have to believe in the healing power within themselves. Doctor Horning wants to help every one in his practice, like I do in my business. I’m 45 years old today. I felt 65 years old 2 months ago. Today I feel younger and have more energy, about 35 years old, I guess or better. A lot of people out there think that by using drugs, pills, or health spas, it will keep them younger. Well I hate to say it, but they are all wrong. I finally figured out how maintain my youth a lot longer, by understanding your body and how it really works…First stop, Doc Horning…One Step in the Right Direction… P.S. It took half my life to figure out what was wrong with my back. It must have started when I 10 years old, when I fell out of a tree on my back. I thought I was ok at that time. Both my kids like going to Doc Horning. At their very young age, 13 and 15, they feel confident in him already, like I do.
