Why should you return for care?

The stress of birth, accidents, emotional issues, work and finances, unhealthy eating and life in general is relentless. How do you recover your health? How do you keep your health?

Where to turn?

Many people turn to drugs. While necessary at times, in most cases drugs merely cover up or suppress symptoms but do not promote healing. You may feel a little better but you are still sick – you just aren’t experiencing the pain or other warning signs your body is giving you. If drugs healed then those taking the most would be the healthiest. But aren’t they the sickest?

Surgery may be necessary at times. This is a serious intervention as every surgery is fraught with risks and dangers. In addition, you’re never the same after you’ve had organs tampered with or removed.

The chiropractic approach

Many people are exploring safer, natural, drug-fee methods before resorting to more extreme procedures; many make the chiropractic choice.

Chiropractic is not only a great way to get your body working properly; it is a great way of KEEPING your body working properly. Why wait until you are sick to do something about your health? Chiropractic helps you prevent health problems and to feel your best every day of your life!

How does chiropractic work?

Chiropractors locate and correct subluxations in your body.

Subluxations are internal distortions that weaken your body, unbalance your skeletal system, put stress on your brain, nerves and organs, lower your resistance to disease and sap your energy.

Subluxations are unfortunately very common – and painless! You could have multiple subluxations in your body and have no idea something is wrong – until disease or illness “suddenly” strikes you. Even babies, from the stress of birth may have them.

It takes time to get sick

No one goes from perfect health to illness overnight – it takes time. The first stage is dis-ease: your resistance is lowered, your body may be accumulating toxins and you’ve lost that healthy bounce to your step. Your body is slowly breaking down. Now is the time for a chiropractic visit!

Stay subluxation-free

It is important to keep yourself subluxation-free. Since you don’t necessarily know if you have subluxations, periodic chiropractic checkups will help you maintain your improved health and continue the healing process that you’ve already begun. Most people wait until they are ill before addressing their health. Why not work to prevent disease, to prevent deterioration, to maintain and optimize your health? That is the goal of chiropractic.

You deserve it

You deserve to live the rest of your life in the best possible health, tapping in to your full potential, maximizing your life expression.

And that goes for your family too!

Researcher: “Half of all boys will be autistic”

Stephanie Seneff from MIT’s CSAIL lab has researched the world’s most popular herbicide Roundup™, dietary chemicals and their connection to autism and chronic illness.

Dr. Seneff reports that if we continue as we are going now by 2032 half of all males born will be autistic. See this powerful video: https://vimeo.com/65914121

Study confirms nurse whistleblowing: Routine hospital vaccines damage infants

Michelle Rowton of Nurses Against Mandatory Vaccines discussed the callous operating procedure in the hospital she worked at:

The baby could be four months early … weighing three or four pounds and was getting the same amount of vaccines as a 200-pound man.

I’ve sat in a room with physicians and practitioners (when they say): “Oh wow, this is so embarrassing this 25-weeker … was so strong. But we gave him his two month vaccinations and he got intubated last night, ha ha, oops how embarrassing.

NICU’s get calls saying: “Hey we’re going to go ahead and give these four babies their two month shots today, make sure you have beds ready because we all know they’re going to have increased breathing difficulties, feeding and digestion difficulties, apnea, and bradycardia.”

Read the entire interview here: http://www.jeffereyjaxen.com/blog/new-jama-study-confirms-nurse-whistleblowing-routine-hospital-vaccine-damage-happening-to-infants

An article published in the Journal of the American Medical Association Pediatrics confirms the nurses’ observation. The authors report:

Immunization of extremely low-birth-weight (ELBW) infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is associated with adverse events, including fever and apnea or bradycardia, in the immediate post immunization period. (1)

Questions and answers

Question: Does a giraffe have more neck (cervical) vertebrae than a mouse?

Answer: No. All mammals have seven vertebrae – the giraffe, the mouse and we humans all have seven neck (cervical) spinal bones or vertebrae. There are three exceptions: the manatee, the spiny anteater, and the sloth may have more. Other classes of animals are more varied – amphibians (such as frogs) can have as few as only one cervical vertebrae and a swan can have as many as 25!

Did you know?

There are whales alive today who were born before Herman Melville wrote Moby Dick (1851)? A bowhead whale can live over 200 years.

Why are so many healthy people dying from the flu after receiving the flu shot?

The flu shot causes Guillain-Barré Syndrome, which can be fatal. The flu shot is not very effective in preventing the flu. The CDC does not follow the law for vaccines in requiring long-term safety testing for the influenza vaccine like they do with other vaccines, as it is impossible to test a vaccine that changes every year. So the flu vaccine is basically an experimental vaccine that they want to give out to 300 million people every year.

Sixty-year nun study

In 1990 700 American nuns of the School Sisters of Notre Dame agreed to allow their personal health records to be studied by researchers.

Sixty years prior, in 1930, the nuns, then in their twenties, had been asked by the Mother Superior to write a brief autobiographical account of their life and their reasons for entering the convent.

Researchers analyzed the stories to see whether their emotional state in 1930 had an effect on their health sixty years later.

The results were startling. The more positive emotions – contentment, gratitude, happiness, love and hope – the nuns expressed in their autobiographical notes, the more likely they were to be alive and well sixty years later.

The difference was as much as seven years in life expectancy. So remarkable was this finding that it has led, since then, to a new field of gratitude research, as well as a deepening understanding of the impact of emotions on physical health. (2)

And now for something completely different

According to John Gottman, PhD, a marriage’s success often is determined by the spouses’ arguing styles. Some people retreat into silence … others shout … still others talk things out. When spouses have different arguing styles, their chance of divorce is increased. See more at www.gottman.com.

Traditional eating

A general rule of nutrition is don’t eat anything that wasn’t around when your grandparents were children.

Your grandparents didn’t have high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated vegetable oils (Crisco, “butter spreads” or canola, corn, peanut and safflower oils), fluoride, all the sugary drinks, vaccines (OK, it’s not something they ate) and all the junk food and bizarre breakfast cereals we have today with added synthetic vitamins (they ate eggs and oatmeal and cream and meats for breakfast – a healthier choice).

They also didn’t have all the diabetes, cancer, heart disease, autism, allergies and all the other conditions considered common today. Do your family a favor –  explore traditional eating. Visit www.westonaprice.org and www.ppnf.org.

Researching chiropractic

Chiropractic clinical case histories have been a regular feature of our patient newsletter since its inception. There seem to be no limit to the health problems that respond to chiropractic care. How many people suffering, on drugs, facing a life of limitation could be helped by chiropractic care? Probably most of them.

Bedwetting. The first patient, a 10-year-old boy who was diagnosed with Asperger’s at 6 years of age, was brought in for care because of neck pain following a fall from a trampoline. He also suffered from bedwetting (nocturnal enuresis) since he was two.

Chiropractic examination revealed that he had subluxations in his neck, upper back and hip.

The second patient was a 9-year-old boy with Asperger’s who also had been bedwetting every night since age 5. Subluxations were detected in his neck, mid-back and sacrum.

The 10-year-old’s bedwetting completely ceased following the first visit. The 9-year-old’s bedwetting ceased after his 10th visit. On long-term follow-up, both patients remained free from bedwetting. (3)

Pregnant woman didn’t need Caesarian. A 24-year-old woman who was 26 weeks pregnant sought chiropractic care. It was her first pregnancy.

She suffered from severe neck pain that extended to both of her shoulders, migraine headaches and double vision.

She had 14 visits over a five-week period. Although she was scheduled for a Caesarean section at 37 weeks she was able to successfully deliver vaginally at 30 weeks gestation. (4)

Success Story

Hip Pain, Back Pain, Degenerative Discs, High Blood Pressure

I was going through a lot of hip pain and so a friend of mine introduced me to Dr. Horning. I started treatment for the hip and back pain and could see that I would get a lot of relief after he worked on me. I went for x-rays and had two degenerative disks.

I am now on maintenance to keep things feeling good.

I have suffered with high blood pressure for about 10 years, have been on just about every medicine out there for the problem and none of them brought my pressure down, and I suffered with all of the side effects. I took myself off all of the meds and it still surged. The medical doctors said I was in the stroke zone. The last blood pressure was about months ago, and it has soared to 223/112.

Since coming to the Horning Chiropractic Center, and for the last six months my pressure is down to 118/80. I am so amazed and I feel great. I’m 72 years old and I feel like things are certainly getting better. Praise God and I thank god that Dr. Horning has been such a tremendous help with bringing me to this point.   L.H

Humor

Conversations from actual computer support files (so we’re told).

Customer: This is Martha, I can't print. Every time I try, it says 'can’t find printer’. I've even lifted the printer and placed it in front of the monitor, but the computer still says he can't find it.

Customer: My keyboard is not working anymore.

Tech support: Are you sure it's plugged into the computer?

Customer: No. I can't get behind the computer.

Tech support: Pick up your keyboard and walk 10 paces back.

Customer: OK.

Tech support: Did the keyboard come with you?

Customer: Yes.

Tech support: That means the keyboard is not plugged in.

Customer:  I can't get on the Internet.

Tech support: Are you sure you used the right password?

Customer: Yes, I'm sure. I saw my colleague do it.

Tech support: Can you tell me what the password was?

Customer: Five dots.

Customer: I have a huge problem. A friend has placed a screen saver on my computer, but every time I move the mouse, it disappears.

Tech support: 'Bob, let's press the control and escape keys at the same time.

That brings up a task list in the middle of the screen. Now type the letter 'P' to bring up the Program Manager.'

Customer: I don't have a P.

Tech support: On your keyboard, Bob.

Customer: What do you mean?

Tech support: 'P'... on your keyboard, Bob.

Customer:  I'M NOT GOING TO DO THAT.

In a restaurant window: "Don't stand there and be hungry; come on in and get fed up."

In the front yard of a funeral home: "Drive carefully. We'll wait."

At a propane filling station: "Thank heaven for little grills."

And don't forget the sign at a CHICAGO RADIATOR SHOP: "Best place in town to take a leak."
